Q: What is the Women's Health America Self-Help Program?

A: ProCycle® Gold + Healthy Diet + Exercise. Many find self-help to be a significant part of managing perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms.

Q: What are the symptoms of perimenopause and menopause that this program may help?

A: Symptoms of perimenopause and menopause include fatigue, lack of energy, lack of libido, sleep disturbances, mood swings, memory loss or changes, hot flashes, anxiety, and irritability.

Q: How long do I have to take the ProCycle Gold before I know it is working?

A: Most health care practitioners support trying a self-help plan of a vitamin-mineral supplement, diet modification, and exercise consistently for at least three months.

Q: What makes ProCycle® Gold special?

A: Formulated by doctors and pharmacists who specialize in women's health, ProCycle Gold provides the 600 mg magnesium and 1000 mg calcium citrate along with a complete B complex, antioxidants, folic acid, boron and Vitamin D which are important for good health and strong bones. (It does not contain iron).

Q: What else do I need if I am perimenopausal or menopausal?

A: Your healthcare provider may also suggest hormone level and bone loss testing, followed by individualized hormone therapy as needed.

Q: What is a simple definition of eating healthy?

A: Eating six smaller meals per day or snacks every three hours can help you maintain a steady blood sugar level and avoid energy highs and lows thereby reducing symptoms. Replacing food high in sugar and simple carbohydrates with healthy complex carbohydrate foods such as raw and leafy vegetables, whole grains, and legumes may be beneficial. Also consider eliminating (or at least reducing) your caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol consumption.

Q: What is a good exercise program?

A: A regular program of moderate exercise four or more times per week to include weight resistance and muscle strengthening helps to reduce stress, and relieve anxiety and tension. Activities such as walking, biking, dancing, weight lifting, and swimming are ideal.

Q: How is the ProCycle Gold taken?

A: Many report taking four tablets per day produces the best results, but if you're taking ProCycle Gold for the first time, we suggest the following schedule (you may wish to consult your physician):

1st Week - 2 tablets daily, taken with a meal

2nd Week - 3 tablets daily, taken with a meal

3rd Week - 4 tablets daily, taken with a meal

  • We suggest taking a full day's supply at one time (with food during your morning meal), but the daily dose may be divided among two or more meals.
  • Make sure ProCycle Gold is taken with a meal of adequate size, and taken during the meal, not before or after.
