If you already have a prescription, move on to STEP 2. - We recommend natural low-dose forms of hormones and all of our natural hormones are plant-derived. If you elect natural hormone therapy, tell your healthcare provider at your appointment that you prefer to use natural hormones.
- Discuss which dosage form/delivery method (transdermal patch, oral capsule, sublingual tablet, suppository, or topical gel or cream) would match your preference and hormone needs best. Delivery method can be an important part of how your body absorbs and uses your prescription.

STEP 2: YOUR HEALTHCARE PROVIDER CALLS OR FAXES OUR ON-SITE PHARMACY WITH YOUR PRESCRIPTION ORDER Your healthcare provider calls Madison Pharmacy Associates at 800.558.7046 or faxes us at 888-898-7412 with your prescription. STEP 3: WE CALL YOU TO INITIATE THE ORDER There are several reasons why we may need to talk with you before initiating the process of formulating your individually compounded prescription. - Prescriptions are often timed to coordinate with your menstrual cycle, or with starting or stopping treatment, or due to changes indicated due to follow-up saliva testing. We want to be sure your prescription arrives when you need it.
- We need accurate shipping, billing, and prescription insurance information.
- For your safety and privacy, we will not ship until you confirm shipping details. We want to be sure your prescription arrives at the right address and that someone will be there to receive it.
STEP 4: WE HAND-COMPOUND YOUR PRESCRIPTION Unlike commercially available, one-size-fits-all prescriptions, our prescriptions are not prepared in advance. Your custom prescription will be prepared as prescribed by your healthcare provider to meet your specific needs, so you can be confident you are not receiving too much or too little hormone therapy. In most cases your prescription will ship to you on the day we receive it, however since each prescription is individually prepared, orders received late in the day may not ship until the next business day. STEP 5: PRESCRIPTIONS ARE QUALITY CONTROL CHECKED Throughout the process of working with you and your healthcare provider, we apply many quality control checks from formulation through delivery. The checks include accuracy of the formula, mix quality, accurate labeling, and final overall quality check. STEP 6: YOUR PRESCRIPTION IS SHIPPED We ship your prescription standard service (First Class Mail) unless you request otherwise when placing your order.
