Introduced in 1986 and available only through Madison Pharmacy Associates, this break-through progesterone delivery system combines slow, even release of medication with the convenience of dosing once or twice daily.
In the study below, our even release delivery system was shown to help avoid the peaks, valleys, and associated side-effects of traditional oral dosing by helping maintain a more constant hormone level throughout the day or night.
Tablets are individually compounded and dosed for each patient's unique requirements. Our pharmacists and nurses are available to work with healthcare providers to determine appropriate dosing protocols for attaining progesterone levels within the therapeutic range.

Madison Pharmacy Associates Even Release Oral Tablets were used in this clinical study.
Objective: To define the pharmacokinetic parameters of extended release micronized natural progesterone following daily dosing over two weeks in healthy postmenopausal women.
Conclusions: Pharmacokinetic parameters of extended release micronized natural progesterone were defined. Extended release natural progesterone produced serum concentrations of progesterone in the luteal phase range. The average elimination half-life of the 300 mg preparations was 18 hours supporting once daily dosing. Extended release micronized natural progesterone was well tolerated.
